Sandy Station
Working in collaboration with B. & M. McHugh, Hall Bros introduced improved tarmac to a new toilet area at Sandy Station in Bedfordshire.
Sandy Railway Station - Tarmac Restoration
Following discussions with the relevant individuals, our team was tasked to renew an area approximately 18m sq. with fresh tarmac. We broke out and installed a new 6mm wearing course, levelling this around the toilet entrance and sides of the building, taking great care with the surrounding drainage areas and other fixtures.
We then removed the temporary tarmac surrounding the bases of the bollards next to the toilets and replaced this with the 6mm wearing course. The bollards were then initially painted with white chlorinated rubber, with a yellow strip added later 100mm from the top, again in chlorinated rubber paint.
